FIFA!

Fédération Internationale de Football Association. That is what it means...basically it's the soccer association that deals with the World Cup and such stuff. You know...like the NBA, or NFL or whatever. This...is soccer, or football as they call it here.

GST@CTS, this here college that i'm attending, has decided to kick all students out from June 11th to July 10th or so because they are going to use the college and the dorms rooms as a hostel for groups of people that are coming in. I suppose they will open it up for individuals as well, but mostly it's going to be groups. They are going to have each room set up like a hotel type thing and have a 24 hour catering service and laundrey service and such stuff. So, the lady in charge of making sure that it all gets done is a friend of Emily, you know, the lady that i stayed with when i got here. Anyways, i being new to the country and not having many friends yet, have no where to go for that month. So, i needed to find a way to stay on campus. Emily introduced us and voila! I am working here on campus during that time! I will be able to stay here on campus, most likely even in my same room! We met adn talked about some things that she needs help with and what i could do for her. Basically i am going to be her assistant and i will oversee the laundrey service and the catering and such so that she doesn't have to carry such a big load. We will be hiring catering and laundrey services but i will be in charge of making sure that all runs smoothly as well as any cleaning crew that we decide to hire i will make sure they are taken care of. Honestly i'm excited for it. It's going to be such a crazy time for Cape Town and there will be so much going on that i'm excited to be involved! There are expecting a full house for the whole month that the games are going on. I believe they are going to offer 200 rooms. (i could be wrong about that) and they are going to be putting 4 people per room. Now, these are just regular dorm rooms so a little squeezy, but people need a place to stay, so they will!

I'm totally excited! I can't wait till the time is closer and there is something to do!
